Overview

Executive Development & Compensation reports directly to the President & CEO, and is responsible for matters pertaining to development and compensation for Corporate, Executive & General Management level employees.

The remit of the organization includes advisory services to Corporate and Executive Management in all matters related to the Board of Directors of Aramco Affiliates (wholly-owned subsidiaries, joint ventures and stakes in publicly-listed companies), particularly on compliance with board governance standards and board effectiveness. Employees provide guidance to Management and advice on how to improve the performance of the board of directors and function under very limited direction and supervision.

General Duties and Responsibilities of the job are outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following duties:
- Advise executive management on all matters of board governance and board effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on board composition, and own the rigorous selection process of the best candidates for vacant board roles.
- Develop and implement board assessment and evaluation processes.
- Develop and implement board succession planning processes.
- Develop and deliver board training and development programs.
- Stay current on developments in corporate governance and advise executive management on their implications for the company.
- Work with executive management to establish and maintain effective relationships between the board and management.

Requirements

As the successful candidate you will have a deep understanding of corporate governance principles and practices and will be able to provide guidance and advice on how to improve the performance of the board of directors.

- Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in corporate governance, board development, talent management or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with board members and executive management.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people and build consensus.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
