Employment: Full Time

We are looking for HSE Director to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role:

This position will provide direction and oversight to achieve the program HSE requirements, this includes establishing and maintaining:
- HSE management system, including:
- Establish HSE requirements for all project delivery organizations and align the system to contractual obligations, international management standards, legal framework, and construction industry best practice.
- HSE assurance programme including:
- Define, monitor, and evaluate HSE performance against the agreed objectives and targets
- Report the achievements and progress to the client
- Implementation of a continual improvement plan to establish a positive culture

The position's direct contribution to the program HSE requirements will include, but limited to:
- Providing technical advice, guidance, and direction on implementing the HSE management system, assurance programme and best practice during construction
- Leading ad-hoc / daily site tours and monthly joint leadership tours
- Monitor and coordinate the HSE consultation forums, training programs and campaigns.
- Leading conformance audits and monitoring the effectiveness of HSE inspection program
- Monitoring the effectiveness project HSE performance reviews and corrective action plans
- Oversight of implementing emergency response plans and the management of major / serious / minor adverse event notifications, investigations and reporting protocols
- Monitor and maintaining the HSE management system & assurance programme

Requirements

Requirement:
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience in the construction industry
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in similar projects
- Minimum 5 years GCC experience
- Bachelor's Degree in HSE Management or relevant
- Professional membership of a recognised body
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within complex construction project delivery structures that include internal and external interested parties
- In-depth knowledge of major project control processes and a high level of computer literacy
- In-depth knowledge of international standards for Occupational Health, Safety & Environment Management within the construction industry

Core Competencies:

Significant experience within major construction programmes with direct involvement in:
- developing, implementing and maintain an HSE management systems to meet international best practise standards
- establishing and maintaining HSE assurance programmes to achieve excellent HSE performance
- co-ordinating, monitoring and measuring overall HSE performance within complex organisations

Lead HSE Investigations and implement change management processes to improve HSE management systems and conformance standards.
