Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose: HVAC Maintenance Engineer is responsible primarily for general maintenance and repair of the building's HVAC system.

Responsibilities:
- Report all situations requiring emergency and/or immediate action to the appropriate personnel
- Troubleshoot various systems including particularly, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and other systems as required to determine source of malfunction and repair
- Coordinate work orders and maintain Work Order System
- Evaluate all approval systems for new and revised maintenance jobs and monitor all work instructions and maintain all deliverable for projects to maintain optimal qualities within required time frame and coordinate with stakeholders to analyze all project requirements.

Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance to designated equipment; make adjustments to equipment and controls to ensure operations are in compliance with specifications and/or standards
- Provide routine services to include preventive maintenance on air side and water side equipment, identifying, installing, maintaining and disposing of all types of filters, cleaning mechanical/transformer rooms, picking up and delivering parts, and assisting higher level heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics and or contracted services
- Schedule preventative maintenance programs as assigned by BMO.
- Perform audit on all HVAC system and collect data and perform periodic evaluation and monitor all log books and manage all change processes and resolve all issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to perform regular audit and ensure compliance to all corporate regulations and assist to design an efficient HVAC system and adhere to all architectural requirements.

Repair
- Install, maintain and make repairs to heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment as needed
- Replace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, lighting components, fuses, and basic electrical wiring
- Maintain and perform repair on all refrigeration equipment and perform troubleshoot on all HVAC equipment and perform repairs all coolers.
- Manage all metal duct components and install all HVAC systems and monitor all provide resolutions for all emergency alarm in systems and perform repair to all ventilating and air conditioning units.

Health Safety and Environment
- Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (i.e. OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment.
- Administer compliance of civil defense laws pertaining to areas such as fire, safety, hazardous material and access
- Monitor all resources and ensure optimal utilization for same and achieve all customer objectives and provide support to all equipment and perform calculations and implement various plans for HVAC.
- Design and provide enhancements to all conservation programs for electricity and natural gas and assist to plant instrument and perform troubleshoot on equipment and ensure compliance to all civil defense regulations.
- Analyze all load programs and perform required calculations on same and manage all electrical requirements for HVAC equipment and recommend improvements.

BMS System
- Observe operation, read gauges and instruments, and adjust mechanisms such as valves, controls and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure and temperature
- Manage all data center applications and operate various centrifugal chillers and install and maintain de-humidification systems and oversee all maintenance activities for various technicians.

Inventory
- Ensure the appropriate inventory systems, records, files, Material Safety Data Sheets, supplies, equipment and tools are maintained
- May be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description

Requirements

- University Degree in Mechanical Engineer
- Professional (licensed) Mechanical Engineer
- Minimum 4 years experience in Design and Development of HVAC Electrical Boards and Control panels.
- With sound knowledge in the different principles and standards related to the design and development of the HVAC electrical boards and Control Panel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, AutoCAD or other relevant design Systems and ERP systems.
- An understanding of the manufacturing processes and quality standards are preferred.
- Good Communication skills in English (Arabic an advantage)
- With good Analytical and Conceptual skills.
- Results oriented, innovative.
