Faithful+Gould is looking for an Instrument Engineer for a large O&G company in KSA.

Job Purpose & Scope:

- The candidate shall provide technical engineering support on all matters related to his discipline for the DR&NGLF Admin Area Projects. -
- The permanent work location will be in Ras Tanoura Area.
- Engineering Work Orders (EWO's) and submittals for investment.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Review engineering deliverables for projects detailed design.
- Assist in resolving technical issues during project life cycle C1-Type Projects.
- Identify and deploy new technologies and initiatives that uplift project value.
- Conduct technical evaluation for instrument equipment procurement.
- Evaluate submitted Business Cases quality with SME's and work with Facility Department BI Coordinators to address comments in a timely manner.
- Participate in technical networks; develop/implement best practices.
- Prepare / Review engineering documents like calculations, specifications, philosophies, datasheets and drawings to ensure compliance with specification and functional integrity.

Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts)

- Report directly to Lead Control & Instrumentation Specialist, and provide support to Project Managers and
- Engineers within the Onshore Capital Projects Management Team organization.
- Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department.
- Interface regularly with Contractor's engineering and Project Management team and Team Leaders as and when required.

Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:

- Responsible for influencing, coordinating, and managing all Instrumentation engineering related activities.
- Participate in technical reviews and studies and ensure that technical reviews and studies receive the appropriate Instrumentation related engineering input.
- Exercises judgment in making decisions; knows when to seek advice.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in projects including design, construction or technical support or operation of refining or petrochemical facilities.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes, such as ISA, IEC, IEEE, CSA and/or NEC.
- Familiarity with the relevant standards.
- Must have a practical knowledge in oil and gas processing and equipment.
- Have knowledge of Multi Variable Controller/Advance Process controller/CCC anti surge controller etc.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and/or Professional of Engineering (PE) certification is preferred
- Must have a practical knowledge in oil and gas processing and equipment.
- Strong oral/written communication skills and the ability to interact and work in a team environment.
- Saudi nationality or expat (Asian).
- Experience with Contractors and worldwide suppliers, in particular those involved in the design, procurement and construction of major oil and gas facilities.
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
- Knowledge of specialist Electrical engineering software e.g. ETAP, CYME, SMARTPLANT etc. and general business software.
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordination of solutions to complex problems.
