Inventory Controller

Job description / Role

- Determining the correct stocks levels thru MBQ (minimum base quantity) and updating on frequently basis.
- Manage and maintain the category stock product inventory including stock profiles (ledger) and stock locations (expiry & damage area, vendor return area)
- Ensuring that distribution of stocks from Warehouse to all the stores are carried out within time limits and as per the norms fixed.
- To Review "zero" quantity report and action immediately, in consultation with dept. head and category manager, if there is any "0" qty in a Shop and +ve quantity in Warehouses.
- Analyzing Monthly movement report to identify slow moving items to assist periodical price revision exercise.
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks;
- Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete, slow moving, maximize availability of working capital by ensuring managing inventories within the agreed budgets of stocks days cover.
- Follow-up incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure;
- Ensure within specific timeline the closure of all the pending in transit stocks are closed in system, open POs are closed in same day or within 2 days from date of receipt of stocks;
- Ensuring the consolidation of Stocks between all stores, on regular basis whenever a particular SKU discontinue or near expiry product with at least 3 month and runs into liquidation of last few pieces.
- Identify the products which have to be transferred among the stores, ensure timeline for the transaction completion among stakeholders DC, stores, accounts and Dept. Head.
- Define the stocks based on its aging and proposing action liquidation plan to the dept. head, stores team and accounts.
- Analyze and Publish reports on purchasing activity to the business on a daily, weekly, monthly basis or as when it is required.

Requirements

- Education: Preferably Graduate in any discipline
- Experience: 3 years’ experience in Inventory Control from/Merchandise planning from a retail or FMCG background or an accounting background
- Personal Skills: Strong analytical skills
- Computer Skills: very good in Excel
- Communication Skills: Good command in English is a must and Arabic preferably
