Job description / Role
We are seeking an experienced IP and Tech Lawyer to join our international law firm in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property and technology law, with a passion for working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-profile clients and make a significant impact in the legal field.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of IP and technology matters
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to IP and technology
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex IP and technology issues
- Advise clients on IP protection strategies and assist with IP prosecution and enforcement
- Manage IP portfolios and assist with trademark and patent registrations
- Negotiate and draft license agreements, technology transfer agreements, and joint venture agreements
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to IP and technology
- Collaborate with other departments and external counsel on cross-border matters
- Handle disputes and litigation related to IP and technology
- Train and mentor junior associates on IP and technology law principles and best practices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and develop new business opportunities
Salary:
SAR
35,000 to 50,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
- JD or equivalent law degree from a reputable university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IP and technology law at a top law firm or in-house legal department
- Admitted to practice law in Saudi Arabia
- Strong understanding of IP laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia and internationally
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of managing complex IP and technology matters
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Strong business acumen and client management skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience in cross-border transactions and disputes is a plus.
