Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading name in automobiles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are looking for bring on board a General Manager - IT/CIO to lead their IT department.

Job Purpose: To lead, direct, plan and oversee the IT planning & development, IT operations and IT services functions in order to ensure continuity of business and available, maintained and secured information and subsequently higher customer satisfaction within our defined organizational and departmental targets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:

Budgeting:
- Prepare and recommend the IT department budget by conducting analysis and preparing data related to specific elements as directed
- Monitor the financial performance of the IT department against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon
- Prepared departmental budget related to specified elements as directed
- Identified and rectified areas of unsatisfactory performance

IT Operations Management:
- Manage the daily operations of IT department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies and procedures
- Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
- Monitor and direct the management of IT infrastructure and system administration Develop, implement and monitor IT business continuity / disaster recovery plans
- Work processes compliance with established policies and procedures
- Accurate and timely reports
- Different IT operations monitored and directed
- Business continuity plans developed and implemented

IT Planning and Development
- Direct and oversee the planning of the IT capacity and lead the coordination with other department heads regarding staff increases / changes, business expansion and currently unused/ packed up IT items to ensure availability of efficient IT equipment, hardware and software
- Establish, monitor and direct the IT Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure that all IT projects are captured, properly managed, maintained and streamlined
- IT capacity managed
- PMO established, monitored and directed

IT Services:
- Direct and oversee the implementation of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and the initiation/management of service level agreements (SLAs) with other departments to ensure that IT services are delivered in high quality standards
- Monitor the management of IT incidents and problems to ensure business continuity, less customer complaints and high customer satisfaction by reviewing and monitoring help desk complaints log and solutions implemented by staff on a periodic basis (weekly or monthly)
- Evaluate the IT service level quality by ensuring timely closure of Help Desk requests (within IT industry acceptable standards)
- Oversee the management of IT partners, suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of hardware and software
- Ensure availability of technology documents/certificates including product registrations, SSL certificates, maintenance agreements, etc.
- ITIL implemented, SLAs established and managed
- IT incidents and problems monitored
- Timely closure of help desk requests
- IT partners, suppliers and vendors properly managed
- Technology docs/certificates available

People Management:
- Manage the activities and work of subordinates and evaluate their performance by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets
- Stimulate subordinates and manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Develop training plans for IT staff and end users in coordination with HR department
- Carried out and completed work in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets

Policies, Processes and Procedures:
- Design Information Security policies and procedures at all levels of the company
- Recommend improvements to divisional policies and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the IT department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services
- Implement Information Security policies and procedures at all levels of the company to preserve critical data and adhere to the corporate security policy
- IS policies and procedures designed

Safety, Quality and Environment:
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude

Requirements

- 8 - 10 years relevant experience in IT including at least 4 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or information technology
- MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from a recognized business school
