IT Infrastructure System Engineer / Deployment Specialist

Job description / Role

A cutting edge technology company with global reach are looking to add a Deployment Specialist focusing on the integration of various infrastructure tools for a key project in the Middle East.

The primary responsibility of the IT Infrastructure System Engineer / Deployment Specialist team is to work with customers to develop system requirements, and then develop system, network and storage designs, as well as backup plans and other enterprise IT plans whilst working with other cross-functional teams.

Other duties include:
- Performing system integration of networks, servers, storage, hardware and associated software
- Create deployment scripts, tools and processes for large scale enterprise hardware and software deployment

Requirements

Candidates will need to be technical degree holders (computer science or similar) with extensive experience in system engineering, systems administration or network administration to be considered.

Strong working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure components, including:
- Servers (HP Proliant/Blade, Dell Power systems, IBM x-series)
- Networking (Cisco, CCNA preferred)
- SAN and Storage systems (HP/3PAR, IBM, Dell, EMC)
- Database (DB2, Oracle, MySQL)
- Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008/2012 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux and AIX
- High Availability, Clustering, Disaster Recovery, Backup
- Proficiency in scripting tools such as Bash, Powershell, VB Script, Javascript
- Strong written and oral communication skills
