Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our Client is one if the Global Shipping Service Provider, They are currently looking for IT Specialist for their Office in Dammam , KSA.

Reporting to: Field IT Manager – Middle East and Turkey

Duties Responsibilities:
- To support service delivery of IT infrastructure, maintaining systems in optimal condition, including regular maintenance, monitoring and housekeeping. To support all IT systems and software to include PCs, infrastructure, audio visual, remote access and Wi-Fi equipment.
- To respond to helpdesk requirements completing tasks in line with agreed processes and escalating where necessary. To provide face to face, remote and telephone support where appropriate.
- To manage room setups, AV provision and to assist with desk moves and builds as required.
- To ensure the support log is properly maintained and calls as well as users are updated on a daily basis, and actioned in accordance with agreed timescales
- To assist with inventory maintenance. To ensure all IT equipment is security tagged and logged and inventory of loaned equipment is kept up to date.
- To ensure software/hardware installations and machine builds are completed in time and to an excellent agreed standard.
- To fully understand and be responsible for system backups / restores, ensuring all full backups are tested every Monday morning, and end of month tapes are labelled accordingly and taken out of the loop.
- To assist in the recording and publishing of solutions to IT issues
- To ensure all IT staff are aware of whereabouts at all times during working hours, and smartphone (if provided) is carried at all times.
- To be proactive and take responsibility for becoming fully familiar and confident with all the company’s IT policies and procedures ensuring full compliance, and to help promote these policies.
- To take responsibility in developing one’s IT skills and abilities so that IT equipment may be used to its fullest extent, providing help and training as appropriate.

Requirements

- Degree qualified
- Microsoft Certified Professional
- 2 years previous experience in an IT Support role
- Desktop and Laptop Hardware.
- Switches, routers, file / print servers
- TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN / WAN infrastructure
- Remote tools including VPN
- ITIL experience
