IT Supervisor

Schools and Education Institutions are under increased pressure to embed e-Learning technologies that deliver measurable student learning outcomes, and increased course efficiency. As a result the region is experiencing unprecedented growth in demand and usage of technology solutions in teaching and learning.

An IT solutions company based in Saudi currently has an excellent opportunity for an IT Supervisor who will deliver training of our technology solutions to our digital users, assist in driving sales and provide customers with after sales support. The ideal candidate will have been working at an educational institution responsible for Software, Hardware, Support and Training.

English is a must and spoken Arabic highly recommended.

Education Technology IT Supervisor:
- Consult with customers to understand their full service needs around technical training and technical support of our educational products and work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to design and deliver tailor made solutions, training programmes and escalation plans to all key institutions and customers
- Schedule and host user evaluation meetings with customers around usage, performance measurement and identifying additional training requirements
- Co-ordinate and manage pre and post-training evaluation and feedback questionnaires
- Maintain excellent content and functionality knowledge around the full range of products and services the business supports; including online homework systems, eBooks, content repositories, content management systems, NetSupport, Microsoft Education platform and Tablets

Key Challenges:
- Previous experience in hardware repair (Tablets, Smartphones, etc …)
- Prepare Manuals / Technical Documents to guide customers through procedures
- Previous experience in Cloud-Based solutions
- Knowledge of current instructional theories for collaborative learning with web-based tools
- Understanding and passion for the value and transformative effect eLearning technologies can have within the field of Education
- Excellent training skills and experience of delivering tailor made training to individuals as well as groups
- Ability to motivate, inspire and coach
- Strong presentations and communication skills
- High service orientation, strong interpersonal skills and persuasive
- Driven, highly motivated and independent worker
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent technical and analytical problem solving skills
- Excellent command of Microsoft Education Software (Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Active Directory and Intune), Intel Education (Classroom Management Software), PC operating systems and web technology.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- From time-to-time non-standard hours may be needed dependent on academic cycle or project deadlines. This position will entail working with a group of colleagues based across the Middle East thus it is expected that occasionally the position holder will be required to work outside of office hours and/or over weekends.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in any field is required with preferably four to six years in a similar role. The highest level of communication skills and professionalism are a necessity in order to effectively work with digital users.

Competencies:
- Experience in the education and academic publishing industry
- Strong project management skills
- Sales/Marketing background a plus
- Experience with BlackBoard, Moodle or other learning technologies
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Gulf and at times internationally
