Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The IT System Administrator will manage and maintain all essential servers/services: domain controller, Active directory, file, print, anti-virus, and MIS applications.

- To administer and maintain wired and wireless network system, Internet firewalls, Cisco switches and routers.
- And work with external software supplier to ensure all requirements are implemented on IT system including MIS
- Performing daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media/recovery tapes, network and desktop support to staff/students in college.on-site and remote technical support including daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
- To troubleshoot system and network problems with appropriate support from internal team/external contractors,
- maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment. To perform routine audits of systems and software.
- And apply patches/upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- with regular security monitoring, and review system and application logs to identify any possible intrusions.
- To perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Good working knowledge of SQL Server 2008 & SSRS
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
- Ability to identify and resolve data center malfunctions and operational problems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- CCNA or equivalent accreditation is desirable.
- Microsoft certifications are desirable.
- CCNA or equivalent accreditation

Experience of the implementation of the following technologies:
- SAN’s (Dell Equallogic) solutions
- Virtualisation (Hyper-V & VMWare) solutions
- Backup & Replication solutions
- Windows Server architectures (Server 2012, Exchange 2013)
- Remote Access Technologies (such as VPN & 2012 RDP Farm)
- Cisco switches and router LAN architectures and data centre environments
- Centrally managed Endpoint solutions
- PABX and telephony platforms and VOIP
