Role Summary:

The holder of this position will Lead & act as the key sourcing point of contact in Saudi for M&C Supplier Localization Initiatives. Will require both strategic and operational focus. He will lead development of Saudi Suppliers for M&C business & work in developing a local vendor base, both in support of future business growth and of current operations. The position's holder will act as an individual contributor, part of the regional Sourcing organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Lead Sourcing Commodity Leader demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will use your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

- Responsible for evaluating the capabilities of supply base in Saudi.
- Doing a Market research on commodity capability (vs) current spend in M&C globally & develop a Business Sourcing Localization Plan
- Working with suppliers & internal Business stake holders to develop a Sourcing Localization plan.
- Responsible & leading the Localization Initiatives for M&C business
- Arranging & leading regular review rythms with suppliers to monitor supplier progress.
- Coordinating & organizing Review rythms with Regional & Global teams & suppliers
- Work with SQEs to complete Qualification & ensure timelines are met (e.g. qualifications, surveillances, etc.)
- Be the interface with other functions inside Supply Chain to manage the correct supplier execution phase and to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirement
- Coordinating internally with various functions including the Global
- Understand strategies for assigned commodities and proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives
- Coordinate with Regional Business & HQ sourcing on sourcing strategies to align to business objectives.
- Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability
- Write reports to track PO activity and supplier performance
- Analyze and track supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure supplier promise date accuracy
- Hold weekly reviews with suppliers and develop telephone log of actions and conversations with suppliers
- Drive effective recovery plans and create payment tracking and invoice analysis. tracking / invoice analysis

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree preferably Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of experience in a Sourcing role & overall industry experience of 10+ years.

Desired Characteristics:

- Additional experience in Sourcing Electrical & Electronics related Commodities, Products & Applications.
- Hands-on Experience in Supplier Development & Supplier Quality Management
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong Commercial Acumen
- Knowledge of Planning & Scheduling associated with projects.
