Job description / Role
As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial, real estate and contruction contracts to ensure legal compliance and support the company's business objectives. Additionally, the counsel is responsible for overseeing legal risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing policies to safeguard the company's interests.

Description
* Work closely with external legal counsel to represent the Companies interests in legal proceedings.
* Contribute to the development and enforcement of corporate governance policies, with a focus on real estate and construction matters.
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements to support the business in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company
* Draft, unify and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights
* Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business to protect the company's needs.
* Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures to support the Company's needs and protect the Company's interest.
* Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organisation to support the business needs of the Company's and spread legal awareness to protect the Company's interest.
* Review and negotiate construction contracts, ensuring alignment with the Company's goals and legal standards.
* Handle legal disputes related to real estate and construction, including negotiation, mediation, and, when necessary, litigation.

Requirements
* Qualified Lawyer with an LLB from a recognised university, minimum 4 years PQE
* FIDIC contract knowledge and experience essential
* Previous experience working in-house in real estate development, giga project or real estate practice
* Bilingual - Arabic/English
