The Role
- To interact with all departments related to linen and uniforms to ensure the smooth operation in the hotel.
- To provide efficient, personalised, courteous and punctual service.
- To work with a team spirit and to ensure that each internal and external guest leaves the hotel fully satisfied.
- To drive laundry services revenue through a reputation of quality services.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

Planning & Organizing:
- Be responsible for all F&B linen, guest room linen and uniforms.
- Receive the clean items from the laundry and issue them accordingly.
- Ensure that enough par stock of F&B and guest room linen for smooth operation.
- Handle all service matters to guests in the station.
- Assist the linen room supervisor for linen inventory as per the hotel standards or whenever is required.
- Co Ordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor and get the updates on occupancy, departures, guest in-house and any functions in the hotel. Prepare the requirements from linen room well in advance.

Operations:
- Collect and deliver guest laundry from all floors.
- Ensure all the guest laundry is pick- up from room by checking the floors once in a day.
- Ensure all Guest laundry checked properly before sending for washing (any lost & found or damaged)
- Return the guest laundry on time as specified by the guest whilst following the hotel standards.
- Count all uniforms and all kind of linen and document it accordingly.
- Ensure we receive the right linen and uniforms from the laundry.
- Check uniforms for cleanliness and condition, carrying out minor repair work, if required
- Update linen room supervisor in case any discrepancy or any service failure from the supplier.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy always.
- Adhere to all Health Department, sanitation and safety regulations as required by the hotel.
- Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies and equipment; replenish as needed throughout shift.
- Separate soiled bed linens, terry, Spa linen and terry and food and beverage linens, bundle and document amounts of each bundle according to departmental standards.
- Sort all stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard; maintain continuous inventory of discard items.
- Remove all debris on floors after each sorting.
- Do the daily check on uniforms and linen to ensure the quality meet the hotel standards.
- Need to work close with Runner and assist him whenever it is required.
- Update the notice and information board on daily basis.
- Segregate the damage linen and uniforms from the circulation and help the supervisor to update the same.

Administration:
- To document and file all documents, invoices and in - out records.
- Document all the records about inventories, distribution, damaged item and store stock.
- Verify all kind of linen and uniform invoices and report to EHK in case of any discrepancy.
- Closely monitored all out sourced laundry invoices on day to day basis and submit the consolidated report to EHK with relevant notes.
- Update the information in daily log book.
- Proper hand over is required after the shift.
