Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading Saudi Arabian Conglomerate are seeking a logistics manager for their Transportation department. The role will focus on the logistics of the transportation of automobiles across the kingdom.

As a Logistics manager your duties would vary, depending on the size of your organisation but may include:
- Working with suppliers and customers, planning routes and scheduling delivery times
- Managing a team of supervisors, administration staff and drivers
- Making sure the operation meets its targets
- Coordinating staff training
- Putting together performance reports for General Manager / Directors
- Arranging vehicle maintenance, Ministry of Transport rules, traffic department rules and penalties/tax payments
- Sales of part and accessories as per the budgeted plan.
- Organizing vehicle replacements
- Managing contracts and developing new business.
- Maximize Gross Margin for the above.
- Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure a solid team atmosphere between Sales and all other departments
- Manage Assets inventory levels to maximize revenue and profitability

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Establish departmental work schedule, balancing the workloads of all employees.
- Monitor and address all complaints
- Establish follow-up and prospecting assignments
- Recommend policies and procedures changes for the transportation operations department
- Manage employee performance (evaluate and council).
- Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and firing employees.
- Maintain records of all employee performance reviews.
- Provide training for employees (seminars, workshops, sales schools, etc.)

You would also make sure that all operations are carried out in line with KSA laws and regulations. These govern vehicle safety, environmental controls on fuel emissions, driver hours, customs requirements, and food, livestock and hazardous goods transportation.

- Strong organizational skills for planning schedules, journeys and loads excellent financial management skills

- Good leadership and motivational skills
- A good understanding of transport regulations
- Good geographical knowledge

- Gain the trust and confidence of new customers

Financial aspects:
- Achieving maximum profitability of the service department while focusing on customer retention
- Maintain high degree of customer satisfaction and handle customer issues
- Liasoning with other departments and process

Asset Management:
- Ensure that all Assets inventory is clean, maintained.
- Know the location of all assets all the time: Maintain asset log for assets that leave the facility
- Purchase or Lease Assets when necessary to maintain proper assets levels to meet the revenue targets
