Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To manage the delivery and implementation of effective loss prevention procedure, policies and systems for the Group that determine risk exposure or potential liability, promote best practice and develop risk control measures that reduce loss and minimize risk.

This role will be to implement the Group’s loss prevention initiatives. They will be responsible for the area management of preventative risk measures through the strict enforcement of policy and procedure across designated business divisions. They will work in partnership with each business unit to support the minimization of operational losses, streamline cost and unify processes. Sitting within the Group’s Risk Prevention Department, the job holder will report to the Group Risk Prevention Director and will be responsible for the line management and annual work plan of a small team of risk prevention specialists and executives who will work closely with you to deliver loss prevention implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
•The provision and development of internal loss prevention strategy via implementation of relative policy and procedure in accordance with current business objectives.
•The overall management and coordination of company asset loss prevention investigations that successfully identify and evaluate security risks and suspicious activity and recommend solutions to reduce risks.
• Actively monitor and assess loss prevention through effective risk assessment and onsite evaluation and where appropriate address and modify identified risks through solution driven action planning.
• The provision of an effective record management system for all loss prevention activities including; escalation of incidents, monitoring stock loss and effective analysis of associated reporting.
• Partner with key stakeholders to devise and lead in the provision of specialised training programme (s) that promote loss prevention awareness, schemes and initiative across business divisions in identified key risk areas and locations.
• Provide effective direction and line management to the team to achieve effective maximum output, exceed service expectations and create a performance focused working environment.
• To manage the relationship and liaisons, budget and return of investment of the Group’s external guarding service provider.
• Contribute to the delivery of specific programmes and projects in support of the Group’s activities.

Requirements

• BA degree or a relevant professional qualification or knowledge and ability at an equivalent level
• CPP/LPC/CFI
• With UAE driving license
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably loss prevention in a retail setting
• Has working knowledge of Risk management systems
• Has applied knowledge of investigation and Stock Inventory current and best practice
• Has a proven ability in training delivery
• Comprehensive experience of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads
• Working knowledge of basic, relevant legislation (libel laws, Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Companies Act etc.)
• Proven experience in budget preparation and control
• Proven experience of managing projects with strong project management skills
• Comprehensive experience of analyzing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Proven experience of staff management
