Maintenance Manager

Job description / Role

Objectives: Manages the department – plan, organize, manage, coordinate and controls the department strategies and programs procedures and technical approaches; develops, plans and schedules the short and long term programs to optimize the organisation services.

Reporting to: General Manager

Main responsibilities:
- Manages the staff, processes and activities for maintaining all organisation machinery to ensure safe, continual and efficient operation
- Manages development of maintenance operating plan includes objectives, goals and actions. Manages development of maintenance budget and monitor the expenditures for cost control
- Ensures the periodic and preventative maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed
- Oversees maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling, work performance and performance management to ensure measurable goals, proper workload distribution, goal satisfaction and effective staff performance management
- Directs, maintains and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians
- Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
- Tracks, analyses and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilisation, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance etc.

Requirements

- BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, electrical etc.)
- Strong leadership (planning, organizing, multi-level communication) and technical writing skills.
- At least 5 years of related professional experience with a minimum of 2 years in managerial capacity
- Work experience in spare parts identification and management, planning & scheduling of maintenance.

Specialist knowledge:
- Strong knowledge in industrial machines and equipment, maintenance, occupational health and safety, quality)

Nationality Preference: Saudi Arabia - essential
Gender Preference: Male
Language Fluency: Arabic, English
Other certifications obtained: Masters’ degree preferred but not essential
