Employment: Full Time

The Manufacturing Director report directly into the CEO and will hold responsible for the full operation managing production and all other aspects of the factory which will be a standalone operation.


Cient is a leading retail company specializing in food products within and outside Saudi Arabia.

The Manufacturing Director will be responsible for all support functions HR, Finance, IT as well as the quality assurance, facility management and all logistics of raw material and finished products. The primary objective is to lead and manage all Conversion within the Plant according to continues improvement culture in order to achieve required production volume defined, in compliance with quality standards and in accordance with the KPIs set, fulfilling safety norms and satisfying internal customers' needs.

He will have 6 Managers reporting into him (IT, HR, Logistics, Maintenance, Quality as well as the production Manager) and potential 50 indirect reports.

Responsibilities will include:

Managerial Accountabilities:
* Contributes to the development of company strategy in order to ensure alignment of the factory with companies' business plans
* Provide strong, inspirational leadership
* Plans and monitors training needs within his function and provides professional coaching to senior managers
* Plans and supports talent management and succession planning
* Ensure optimum structure for his function and that positions are properly staffed and maintain high retention rates.

Functional Accountabilities:

Manufacturing
* Ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing of planned production,
* Ensure that conversion sections and processes are at the top of the industry regarding line productivity and efficiency targets.
* Bear responsibility for productivity and projects in Conversion. Manage interfaces with Business Development and R&D for new products, new processes, product promotions, and reformulation/de-complexity projects.

Maintenance
* Lead and manage maintenance and repair activities at the factory
* Responsible for the integration of technical/maintenance expertise in Conversion. Responsible for ensuring an optimum use of M&R (Maintenance & Repair) budget and preventive maintenance activities to be conducted in accordance to the plan.

Quality & safety
* Responsible that all products (food) manufactured at the lines are complying with product specifications. Ensures that all quality (HACCP, GMP, and ISO) and safety regulations are in place, monitored, and followed by corrective actions.
* Support HSE programs and reinforce safe behavior of Conversion employees.

People Management
* Manage plant teams and ensure people's development and guidance.
* Manage interfaces of other plant functions (Controlling, Quality, Engineering, SSE…etc.) and suppliers.

Finance & Controlling
* Responsible for budgeting, as well as for adherence to budget figures, tracking and reporting of deviations.
* Definition and tracking of conversion process-relevant KPIs
* Ensure payback calculation for projects and cost calculation for products in Manufacturing
* Responsible for correct collection and registration of cost and line shift performance data.
* Manage financial activities in the Factory to produce timely financial and non-financial information & control spending by implementing control procedures.

Production Planning
* Provide expected customer service
* Responsible for production planning and scheduling in Manufacturing
* Guarantee increase/decrease of production output by DVL planning
* Managing dispatch and delivery to maintain store order.

Requirements

* Must have a University degree in Manufacturing or Engineering (ideally in Food Industry).
* More than 10 years in Manufacturing environment (Production, Maintenance, Engineering preferred, Plant Manager experiences highly recommended)
* Good Knowledge of Plant Organization Model Structure and effective Use of assets, TPM background is an advantage
* Certificates, assignments or responsibilities in QC and HSE.
* Experience of managing total function and team
* Strong people management skills, communication skills
* Business Acumen, good planning and project management skills
* Excellent Knowledge of English language
