Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a dynamic, leading conglomerate in Saudi Arabia. It has been instrumental in the development of the Saudi Arabian infrastructure for more than 60 years.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager for a marine project.

Closely collaborates with his Management Team and Masters in directing, coordinating and exercising functional authority for all control, organizing, planning, integration, and completion of the project or projects within his area of assigned authority.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and directs, in collaboration with his PMT, (Project Management Team), and Ship Masters all site activities to ensure objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget parameters.
- Creates a healthy working relationship with the Clients to ensure timely approval of Billings and minimize disputes.
- Assesses and reviews the project Key Performance Indicators to determine accurate status of project, making tactical decisions for allocating resources, and assigning staff requirements, to maintain project on target.
- Prepares reports for corrective actions if project becomes behind schedule or overspends budget, and presents to Management with recovery plan.
- Reviews periodic status reports prepared by PMT Managers. Prepares and presents reports for General Manager, including monthly summary report.
- Has an understanding of the vessels and equipment operational limits and is capable to ensure that the task is achieved safely, given weather constraints and other factors.
- Responsible for the oversight of outfitting and maintenance and participates in maintenance planning and scheduling and supervises emergency drills.
- Oversees all ship’s records and accounts, generates and maintains all necessary documentation including those documents ensuring vessel’s good standing and expediting clearance of crew, related gear and ship’s equipment’s with agents, customs and any other agencies.
- Confers with his PMT and Masters to provide technical advice and to resolve problems to ensure all Vessels are working.
- Department on-boarding and induction (procedures, guidelines, policies, etc). Collaborates with his PMT and Masters in directing and supervising personnel.
- Champions staff on the job training with skills training programs, with the aim of increasing worker skills and personnel development.
- Ensures all PMT departments have effective resources and perform with expected efficiency and productivity.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complies with all Company safety procedures / regulations and strictly enforces them with the workforce under his responsibility.

Requirements

- Relevant Engineering Degree from a reputable college or university.
- With 15 to 20 years experience in Construction related to the oil and gas industry. Has been responsible for major construction projects. Offshore management experience is considered essential.
- Must be familiar with all phases of a project, and be able to evaluate and control changes in a dynamic situation. A natural leader, motivated and able to motivate others, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
