Employment: Full Time

The Superintendent Material Handling is responsible for assisting in developing, implementing and managing all required policies and procedures to ensure the (MH) Material Handling Department: staffing, equipment, resources, and systems are in place, performance tested and operational before plant commissioning and operation phases.

Develop and manage all resources including a qualified and well trained workforce to safely operate and meet the production strategy, budgets, and operational objectives. Cost effectively manage the Material Handling Department in order to ensure Bulk raw materials and chemicals are received and offloaded and final products are shipped in a timely, safe and secure manner within agreed plans and budgets to support the corporate Materials Handling objectives in line with the Materials Handling Strategy and the vision, mission and business objectives.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Material handling with training in management skills.

12+ years of experience in manufacturing environment and preferably management within the Chemical or Fertilizer industry. Previous management experience in material handling and shipping is required. Knowledge of Acids, Ammonia handling desirable.
