Job description / Role
Client is a well-known Telecoms Vendor requires a Network Engineer with solid R&S and Wireless background. (Execution, operation, and troubleshooting.)
- You will be working as an onsite engineer representing the client on their customer premises in Riyadh.
- He will be helping the customer with deploying the NOS recommendations, so he should have good knowledge about CISCO products
- Ideally you should be working with a Cisco partner or system integrator, and should have implemented R&S and wireless projects before.
As the Network Engineer, you will help my clients’ customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. You will deliver the technologies, solutions and services customers need to expertly manage their networks. In this role, you will be “face to the customer," working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on my clients’ commitments.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills, you're well positioned to become a trusted adviser capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers.
Requirements
Expert level knowledge in TWO of the following and strong knowledge in all other areas of: IP inter-networking, LAN Switching, ATM Voice technologies, IP Telephony, SAN, CDN, Optical, Wireless, IPCC.
WAN protocols (Frame Relay, ISDN). IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
- Upper-Intermediate knowledge in wireless networks for optimization, troubleshooting.
- Proven track of records in Radio Frequency domain including RF surveys, RF Design, RF Troubleshooting/Optimization.
- Undertake support as designated Advanced Services engineer for large-scale networks.
- Must possess strong technical account management skills.
- Knowledge of network management, network availability capacity planning.
- CCIE required, with customer facing experience.
- Design, implementation and troubleshooting experience in networking technology esp. LAN Switching & Routing, Wireless LAN, Security is highly desired
- Familiarity with RF site survey & performance analysis tools like AirMagnet, EKAHAU
- Ability to troubleshoot end to end RF and wired transmission,
- Experience with Cisco Wireless Network components like Wi-Fi Routers, Wireless LAN controllers, Access Points and network management products desired
- 5+ years of implementation and audit experience in networking solutions of IP based networks
- Good communication skills and experience in articulating technical issues to customers.
- Strong technical presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English speaking skills mandatory. (Preferred Arabic speaking person.)
Technical skills:
- Good knowledge of switching, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc).
- Cisco wireless components, access points, WLCs, authentication
- Above average knowledge in MPLS and QoS.
- Good Troubleshooting and operations skills. Enterprise / SP customer setup and domain knowledge a plus.
Certification:
- CCIE certifications in SP/WiFi/R&S are highly desired.
