Job description / Role
- Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
- Develop innovative solutions.
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Prepare samples for study.
- Collect, record, and transcribe data.
- Show results in reports.
- Provide suggestions during incident investigations.
- Advise on corrective actions.
- Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
- Ensure financial budgets are followed.
- Review plant design, operation and troubleshooting.
- Control and optimization of chemical & physical advanced material process through the systematic methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a reputable university.
- 10+ year of experience as Process Engineer in Petrochemicals, with at least 5 years of experience in Nylon 6 Plant.
- Excellent English Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
- Process Engineer certifications or equivalent
- Conduct technical studies, such as trouble shooting, improving operations, processes and facilities.
- Knowledge of calculations, data handling and design
- Nylon 6 plant (Lurgi Technology) experience is required
- Ability to review and check plant designs, drawings, 3D models, HAZOP / SIL.
- Develop standard operations procedures (SOP)
- Assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning and operations (Start up/Shut down/Performance test) especially in Nylon 6 process
