Due to continued growth and expansion, we now have an excellent opportunity available for a top caliber Operations Lead (Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia) to join our evolving international organization.

As Operations Lead, under the direction of the General Manager, you’ll provide world class customer support and solutions through overhauls and re-rates/upgrades for all Power and Energy brands as well as third party pumps and associated equipment. You will plan activities through order book prioritisation and capacity planning, you’ll critically review all client orders to scope the work involved, including field service business.

As Operations Lead, you have to liaise with the clients on all technical issues; including identifying engineering solutions or seek support from the brand engineering to meet the clients’ needs and devising the scope of work in accordance with agreed procedures.

From an Operational Coordination prospective, you’ll work with the Brand functions/ Aberdeen site on operational procedures to ensure that the agreed scope of work is fully met, including supervising the Technician team to meet the agreed on time delivery schedule. You also would manage any customer clarification of scope, problem resolution; coordinate and prepare reassembled P&E brands as well as third party pumps and associated equipment for inspection and testing and any other ad hoc issues that arise during execution.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you’ll need prior industrial pumps engineering experience as well as an in-depth technical understanding of centrifugal pumps and familiarity with quality standards. On top of that, you’ll need strong people and project management skills, knowledge of AM Engineering models, excellent communication abilities, and the willingness to travel within Europe & Middle East region.

- Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production) or equivalent combined with min. 7 - 10 years related experience in a similar service centre environment
- Pump Design Engineering experience which should include all API pump type designations and in particular high energy pump machinery
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret detailed technical specifications for mechanical equipment in the oil & gas, petrochemical industries
- Understanding of start-up operations, preferably gained in a service centre environment
- Previous in-country experience preferred
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- People Management experience is essential
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to make effective decisions
