Overhaul & Major Projects Engineer

Salary: $65-75k per annum total package figure

Our client is an Operations and Maintenance services company in charge of running a large combined cycle power plant in Saudi Arabia. They are looking for an engineer who will be responsible for maintenance and outage planning, as well as coordinating overhauling of the turbines and other equipment.

Duties include:
* Manage the day to day activities of the Overhaul & Major Projects team to deliver its required objectives and effectively support other O&M Team activities as required
* Liaise with engineering, operations and maintenance managers
* Lead the detailed planning and co-ordination of each overhaul/major project event, including work packages being developed and implemented by other stakeholders within the O&M Team
* Manage the implementation of all activities, and ensure agreed HSE, quality, budgetary, program and resource productivity objectives are met

Requirements

* Be degree qualified in a related engineering field (Electrical Engineering is preferred)
* Have prior experience of project management within a power plant overhaul or construction context
* Have in depth knowledge of the management of HSE in a major project environment
* Have strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with both internal and external personnel at all levels of seniority
* Have experience in specifying, procuring and managing plant component supply and/or overhaul contracts

Desirable experience:
* Chartered engineering status
* Formal project management qualification
* Business qualification (e.g. MBA)
* Prior experience within the power generation industry in a range of engineering roles including engineering, operation or maintenance
