Payment and Reconciliation Systems Technical Specialist

Job description / Role

Our client , a leading regional bank , is looking to recruit a Payment and Reconciliation systems Technical Specialist for their office in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Implement any changes/enhancements to payments and reconciliation systems used by the Bank (GTExchange, GTMatch, and GTFrame) which includes the following;
- Leading analysis of new requirements with all stakeholders (functional and technical) and solution provider.
- Leading development of functional and technical design documents based on users requirements.
- Perform any modification to payment system (GTExchange) routing rules including any changes to GTFrame.
- Set up and Configuration of reconciliation system (GTMatch) matching rules and notifications including any changes to GTFrame.
- Coordinate with application integration team on identifying integration requirements and interfaces configurations between the payments and reconciliation systems with other applications.
- Coordinate with other applications project managers to identify the integration requirements and investigate any incidents/defects.
- Support users during applications testing, golive and post go live.

- Monitor and operate GTExchange, GTMatch, and SARIE applications, and report any related incidents to the solution provider.
- Provide first level and second level support for GTExchange, GTMatch, GTFrame and SAMA SARIE applications.
- Coordinate with Datacentre team to identify the required backup and restoration procedures.
- Coordinate with the solution provider to implement any GTExchange, GTMatch, and GTFrame upgrades and bug fixes. This includes the annual SWIFT upgrade for any enhancements or bug fixes.
- Coordinate with SAMA for any upgrades, regular maintenance and bug fixes of the SARIE application.
- Coordinate with the release management team on developing the defects/enhancements releases and implementing such changes into production.
- Use the incident management system in tracking and updating the GTExchange, GTMatch, GTFrame and SAMA SARIE applications defects/enhancements.
- Report any required updates to IT senior management.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 6-10 years of IT experience in providing technical, functional, and operational support to Payment and Reconciliation systems.
- Previous experience on implementing and maintaining payment and reconciliation systems for major organizations mainly financial institutions.
- Strong experience on payments and reconciliation systems (GTExchange, GTMatch, and GTFrame from Bottom Line Technology-previously called Sterci).
- Working Experience on the following:
- KSA SAMA SARIE and SWIFT payments standards and message types.
- AIX and Linux operating systems. Certification is a plus
- Oracle PL/SQL programming. Oracle certification is a plus.
- Message queuing middleware systems (IBM Websphere/MQ series). Certification is a plus
- Payment and reconciliation systems integration mainly with core banking, trade finance and treasury systems.
- Experience in payment systems in other GCC countries such as UAE FTS (Fund Transfer System), ICCS (Image Check Clearing System) and WPS (Wages Protection System) is a plus
- Self-motivating, experience with problem solving/always looking for quick wins, and identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Strong attention to details, effective time management and communication skills.
- Experience in Software life cycle (analysis, design and/or package review, development, testing, deployment, production support, and post production support) management.
- Experience on working with all stakeholders (internal parties) and external (vendors and solution providers) at different levels.
