Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a reputable provider of world-class construction and engineering services in the Middle East. Because of their reputation for quality and reliability, they have been increasingly called upon to perform some of the most sensitive and technologically sophisticated projects. They are currently looking for a Payroll Unit Head for their office in Riyadh.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages the preparation and validation of payroll data, and works effectively with Finance to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and allowances
- Ensures that all data which impacts payroll calculation is obtained from Personnel, and integrated in time for the payroll calculation and execution
- Ensures that the Payroll Journal is prepared and communicated on time to Finance for execution, with a zero error margin
- Accountable for the satisfactory resolution of all errors, complaints, or queries raised by employees concerning their paychecks
- Maintains the confidentiality of payroll data
- Opens bank Accounts for new hired Employees
- Identifies and tracks payroll KPIs, and devises plans and initiatives for improvement
- Provides support for the professional development (including training) of direct reports: staff and managers
- Reports to and supports the Compensation & Benefits Manager an all payroll matters
- Works effectively with Treasury to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and allowances
- Works closely with the Personnel to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of personnel data required for payroll calculation
- Interacts on a daily basis with all direct reports for operational and other business related matters / issues

Requirements

- Bachelor in Business or any related field; relevant technical certificates
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
- Good general knowledge of the HR function, with a strong working knowledge of personnel admin policies and procedures and income tax laws of the concerned region(s)
- Minimum 8 years experience in the payroll function
- Excellent writing and IT skills
- Fluent in English and preferably Arabic language
