Pilot (Functional Check Flight) H-60

Description:

Perform test flights to measure and demonstrate aircraft proficiency upon completion of aircraft maintenance or modification on the aircraft.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist RSNF designated FCF Pilots with all portions of maintenance functional check flights, including preflight briefing, preflight, flight checks, post flight and all required FCF documentation.
- Coordinate with maintenance contractors for in-flight troubleshooting discrepancies, and verifications of maintenance actions or repairs, by conducting ground and flight checks.
- Guide and assist in managing an approved H-60 Flight Operations Program in compliance with Navy flight manuals, instructions, directives, SOP's, and local directives.

Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Pilot and navigate the flight for the H-60 helicopter.
- Designation as a Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC).
- Past designation as a H-60 Functional/Maintenance Check Pilot is required; current designation is desired. Current or previous designation as an instructor is desired.
- Able to perform all duties independently. A minimum of 550 total flight hours, 50 Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) hours in the H-60, and 100 hours of H-60 FCF/Maintenance test fly is required.
- A Secret security clearance is required.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Must pass an aeronautical/flight physical. Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch.
