Piping Superintendent Underground

ABLY RESOURCES are representing our global EPCM client who requires an Underground Piping Superintendent to be based in Saudi Arabia on a refinery project, for their large operating client. This role is a 12 month renewable contract and is 6 working days a week based on a 12 week on and 2 weeks off rotation. The first 4 - 8 weeks will be spent in Japan.

Piping includes iron, carbon steel, and reinforced thermo-set piping systems. Pressures and temperatures are typical for oil refinery installations. Knowledge of welding practices and standards is essential - familiarity with Saudi Arabian standards would be valuable extra.

Ability to interface, communicate, and direct the activities of diverse, multi-national mechanical team on a grass-roots refinery construction project. The position will involve extensive experience in underground RTR piping systems including sewage, clean and oily water drainage, manholes, and various classes of water piping as well as extensive co-ordination with excavation and backfilling operations.

Requirements

- Minimum 15 years experience in related position in Oil & Gas industry (5 years experience in Underground Piping is Essential).
- The ability to speak and write the English language fluently is required.
- Have experience in Key Lock Systems is essential
- Saudi Aramco project experience (unless you are degree qualified).
- Due to Visa restrictions must be an American, Canadian, Australian, European or South African passport holder.

Desirable
- Familiars with and adherence to international safety standards and a commitment to a totally safe workplace is required.
- Experience in remote site living/working on rotational basis is highly desirable as well as experience working in multi-national environment.
- Must have a minimum undergraduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical is preferred) from an accredited institution - preferred but not essential.
