Overview

Plans and executes planning and performance management (P&PM) analytical activities under the general supervision of higher-level P&PM staff and supervisors of his organization.

Responsible, under the general direction of the head of the P&PM organization or his/her designee, for generating analytical findings and recommendations across the scope of objectives and deliverables of the organization, either independently or in collaboration with others.

The incumbent is expected to more proactively identify problems and issues that arise in his/her assigned areas, and recommend solutions for these.

Tasked with mentoring other P&PM personnel on the practice of P&PM. Supervision and guidance for the position are generally minimal.

This position differs from the P&PM Analyst II job in terms of the required degree of supervision, the complexity and importance to the company of the incumbent's assigned tasks, the personal initiative expected in identifying and resolving P&PM problems and issues, and the extent of mentorship the incumbent provides.

Key Responsibilities

Provides analytical findings & recommendations relating to regular P&PM tasks such as business plan preparation, performance tracking and measurement, and performance analysis and accountability reporting.
Conducts special P&PM-related studies such as the development of performance initiatives and business cases, benchmarking, risk management, design and re-design of measurements, processes and workflows, and information system-related changes.
Provides supervision, coordination and/or facilitation in the execution of regular and special tasks by other P&PM personnel, as well as mentorship on P&PM analytical practice. The regular task includes and not limited to business plan and accountability reports, variance analysis reports, and accrual accounting exercise. Performs other related staff and analytical duties, as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Education Levels: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, Management information system, Computer Information system or a related discipline
Nine (9) years related experience is required.
Certification / License: Internal analytical skills certification, which may be waived with possession of an equivalent professional certification, a relevant graduate degree and/or significant demonstrable work experience in the practice of planning & performance management.
Preferred Training: Solid knowledge and understanding of management accounting, finance and Excel is required.
Demonstrated capability and track record in the practice of planning & performance management and in the use of business intelligence tools are required.
Possession of an advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., CMA, CFA, CPA) is preferred.
