WSP are looking for a Principal Drainage Engineer based in Saudi Arab. The successful candidate will be leading the design review team and process and will act as the key point with the design consultant team.
The key objectives of the role will be to:-
- Review the drainage, hydrology and hydraulic designs to be submitted by the design consultant.
- Review the drainage concept, preliminary and detailed design submissions at 30%, 60%, 90% and 100% completion.
- Approve the drainage designs and reports.
- Coordinate the drainage design aspects including methodology reports, design parameters, drawings and calculations with the design consultant team.
- Ensure that the submitted final drainage designs are healthy enough to be tendered.
- Support during the tender stages.
How will you know when you are successful in this role?
- Client satisfaction – No adverse comments from the client side.
- Deliver the scope of services identified under the RFP and Project director is satisfied with the work.
- Good relationship with the design consultant team.
- No conflicts with the project team.
Requirements
In order to meet the challenge you will have the following skills and experience
- A degree educated with BSc Degree in Civil Engineering (Water and Hydraulic Division) preferred.
- Minimum 15 years design experience in well-known international firms.
- Strong 7 years’ experience in designing storm water drainage networks and flood protection measures, will be an added advantage .
- Experience of managing people and the pressure of working in a fast-paced environment.
