Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To study and develop major industrial Process Control tools and software which support the operations of the Refinery.

To participate in the implementation and development of the Process Control System (PCS).

To optimize the output and performance of the system while maintaining high degrees of quality, reliability and safety. To implement and maintain advanced process control models.

1. Participate and support development and implementation of large process control projects, including safety logic and basic/ advanced control.
2. Develop PCS software tools; ensure reliability of PCS applications such as alarm management, asset management, and real time database.
3. Ensure all implications from changes to the process control systems are identified, communicated appropriately and that action is taken accordingly.
4. Develop, implement, maintain, motivate and follow-up on usage of new standard control loops and new advanced process controller; train as necessary.
5. Ensure smooth and optimized execution of large projects related to process control.
6. Communicate with the DCS Maintenance Team to optimise PCS hardware.
7. Ensure that appropriate KPIs are in place to monitor the performance of the control loop.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent Process Control.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Eight (8) years of experience in Process Control Engineering in a Refinery setting.
- Strong knowledge of Process Control: DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, and Control Loop Design.
- Good knowledge of Process Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good command of oral and written English.
