Procurement Director - Saudi Arabia

Leap29 are working to secure a Procurement Director for a well reputed construction contractor based in Saudi Arabia. Our client is a growing contractor with an already large order book into the billions of dollars.

This reputed contractor are looking to recruit a Procurement Director to be based in Jeddah. The role will report to the CEO and will oversee the various procurement, logistics and warehousing function. The successful Procurement Director will be in a similar Directors role with a Gulf based contractor.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the Gulf and ideally have previously worked Saudi Arabia.

Requirements

- Bachelor`s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
- 20 + years in procurement functions of large construction company with multiple projects
- At least 5+ years in a similar role
- Management of contracts, sub-contractors, warehousing and logistic
- Thorough knowledge of FIDIC
- Ideally have handled a procurement portfolio of approx. USD200m a year
- Exposure to ERP (SAP, Oracle etc.)
- Prepare and control budgets, strategic reports and presentations for top management.
- Employ innovative cost-saving and resource optimization means including innovative procurement solutions such as strategic horizontal and vertical integrations , JVs, partnerships, etc., to establish a sustainable procurement source for critical items
- Develop policies, procedures and systems to establish a highly efficient and cost-effective procurement function harnessing the benefits of automation in an ERP environment thereby minimizing paperwork and speeding up the process.

Ideally looking for an Arabic speaker as the majority of communication and contracts are in Arabic.
