Employment: Full Time

Our client provides a full range of project management, engineering, procurement and management services, currently working on more than 11,000 projects for 350+ clients.

We are hiring for a Procurement manager to be based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia working on mega projects for the client and general supervision of the Procurement department.

Duties and responsibilities
- To manage all procurement activities. The focus of these activities relate to the procurement of goods & services for the execution of projects.
- To ensure transparency to the business controls and corporate governance requirements.
- To ensure departmental adherence to the corporate ethics policy.
- To develop, maintain and communicate knowledge of the Company’s supply chain capability.
- To act as the Client’s Company focal point for all commercial matters.
- To develop a business relationship with, and interact with, key suppliers and service providers.
- To develop and co-ordinate regional policies and procedures for all of the procurement processes to meet best business practices and guiding principles in line with corporate requirements.
- To ensure that the Procurement Page of the company website is up to date with the latest issues of the procurement procedures.
- To work closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers to provide Procurement expertise / assistance on a day-to-day basis.
- To recruit and manage Procurement resources to meet business needs.
- To motivate and support department members.
- To provide an appropriate level of training and career development across the team.
- To mentor staff and conduct peer reviews.
- To prepare project guidelines, status reports and presentations for Management.
- To collect information and advise project team members in relation to laws, regulations, etc. concerning purchasing, sub-contracting, and shipping etc.
- To identify global / regional opportunities for consolidation of goods / equipment and implement the same.
- To ensure fit-for-purpose goods & services, and value for money, is obtained through best practices and an efficiently run competitive bid process.

Requirements

- A degree in Engineering
- 25 years experience work in procurement roles
- Min 5 years management and supervision experience in sourcing and procurement activities
- Member of a professional procurement institute
- Working knowledge of Saudi Arabian Procurement directives an advantage
