Project Controls Manager

Job description / Role

Salary: $13k to $15k per month + benefits

The ideal candidate will more than likely be working as a Project Control Manager in a Thermal Power Plant construction project. The selected candidate will provide owner’s engineer services on a 2800MW power station. All the EPC services will be provided by a Korean Company

Essential Job Functions
- To develop supplementary plans and schedules that are related to the project activities outside of the EPC contractor’s scope of work, if required:
- To inform employer in a timely manner of the project status, trends, potential problems, and to suggest necessary counter-measures
- To prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports together with relevant photographs, providing critical analysis of the project status, trends and potential problems as well as identifying corrective actions. The regular date of submittal of the week/monthly reports will be designated by the employer. In addition the OES contractor shall submit in a timely manner dedicated reports on concerned matters which may need particular attention from employer (accidents, major equipment/material defects, special issues delay in procurement or any other reports of significance to the projects progress) as may sometimes require by the client
- The schedules should be submitted in a format of an industry recognized an acceptable software
- The Owners Engineer shall provide appropriate training on the schedule software to the client at no extra cost.

Requirements

- Demonstrable experience in a Project Controls role on Power Plant Projects.
- Degree Qualified ideal (or equivalent technical qualifications, alternative qualifications can be considered with relevant experience)
- Experience in Power Plant construction projects

Desirable Skills/Abilities
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in power plant construction project controls leadership role
- Experience in the Middle East geographic region
- Experience working & living in an onsite construction camp environment
