Project Controls Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join a tier-one contractor based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction with experience working for a main contractor. As a Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the project controls functions to ensure successful delivery of projects within time and budget constraints.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project controls strategies to effectively manage and monitor project schedules, costs, and resources.
- Lead the project controls team in establishing project baselines, tracking progress, and analysing variances to ensure adherence to project plans and objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project data and provide accurate and timely reporting on project performance.
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation plans to address them proactively.
- Utilise project controls tools and software to streamline processes and improve efficiency in project monitoring and reporting.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project controls staff, ensuring their professional development and performance excellence.
- Participate in project meetings and reviews to provide insights and recommendations on project controls-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with project controls standards, procedures, and best practices to uphold quality and consistency across projects.

Salary:
SAR 40,000 to 55,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; advanced degree or certification in project management is a plus.
- Proven experience in project controls management within the construction industry, particularly with main contractors.
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles, project controls methodologies, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project controls software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other related tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing project controls teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabia's construction regulations, codes, and practices is desirable.
