Project Electrical Engineer (x3) - MEP Project - AF Engineering

Al-Futtaim Engineering's MEP division is a specialist engineering company undertaking the design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and Plumbing services for commercial, residential and infrastructure projects. With an experienced team of leaders, managers supported by highly qualified and experienced engineers and technicians, the MEP division has the ability to handle even the most demanding of mechanical, air conditioning, electrical, Plumbing and fire protection projects, which requires on time delivery of quality products.

Al-Futtaim Engineering’s MEP division was first established in 1978 in the UAE and has since expanded its operations into KSA, Qatar and Egypt in recent years.

About the role:
- Supervise electrical jobs based on shop drawings and specifications
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and assess them against the project schedule
- Ensure the availability of adequate quantity of electrical material
- Provide input to Quantity Surveyor for interim payment applications
- Conduct safety tool box lecture to enforce safety regulations for individuals on the site
- Raise inspection requests for work completed
- Ensure work is executed according to contract specifications, approved design drawings, agreed procedures, and method statements
- Implement strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
- Reduce the wastage of material and increase manpower productivity
- Interact with client and consultant regarding the status of work
- Complete necessary quality assurance documentation of work under direct control
- Negotiate with client and consultant for obtaining approvals for requested modifications
- Update drawings to fit newly approved modifications for As-Built drawings
- Check all installations in preliminary stage

Requirements

- B.E. Electrical
- 4 years in core MEP construction site out of which 2 years in a similar role on a large-scale projects.

Technical Skills:
- Communication skills
- Multi-Tasking
- Stress-management ability
- Capable of supervising detailed engineering works, coordinated shop drawings, technical submittals, liaison with consultants, coordinate with various disciplines and site supervision.
