Project Engineer (Mechanical / HVAC) - British / Irish / European

The role of the Project Engineer HVAC (mechanical) is to support the project team (Project Manager/Site Managers etc) during their day-to-day operations. This involves managing the technical staff, providing help, advice and technical guidance, while managing and exceeding the Clients needs.

A suitable candidate should have a minimum of 7 years HVAC coordination experience. The position available is solely engineering, no requirement for supervision. A reasonable skill level on Auto CAD 2D required. Revit experience would also be an advantage

Responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate with the relevant managers regarding the day to day operations of the jobsite.
- Assist and implement assignments given by the relevant manager.
- Implement management instructions for projects, services and planned maintenance.
- Programming, scheduling and assist in budget preparation and cost management.
- Co-ordinate regular site inspections to monitor standard of work and completion schedule.
- Manage and provide technical support to the supervisors to execute the works effectively
- Submit requirements and justifications for resources such as materials, tools, equipments and man power. Monitor for accuracy and variance.
- Prepare and submit quotations and estimates. Liaise with supervisors / technicians to ensure accuracy of quotations and estimates.
- Prepare and submit all associated commissioning and handover documentation.
- Coordinate Site installation works (including liaising with Client parties, other trades and associated drawing preparation).

- 5 - 10 years experience - salary is 90K
- Over 10 years experience we would pay 100k. Other benefits are,

Requirements

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering.
- 5-10 years engineering experience in mechanical/HVAC construction.
- Middle East experience preferable but not essential.
- Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment and materials in the field relating to MEP installations and related systems, plant & equipment
- Display a relevant level of knowledge of other associated engineering disciplines.
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of junior engineers/technicians.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, drawings, specifications and technical documents.
- Ability to estimate engineering requirements and to assist in planning projects.
- Ability to maintain engineering records and prepare associated progress reports.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with superiors, subordinates, vendors, consultants and Clients.
- Assist relevant manager with procurement process.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong IT skills. Experience in commonly used software packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and Autocad.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Project preferable.

- Salary would be around € 90,000 per annum spilt into €75,000 over 12 months with € 15,000 paid with the twelfth month salary.

- Rotation is either 8 – 1 or 12 – 2.
- 14 days annual leave
- Mobile phone provided - 250sar per month limit.
- Flights for rotations paid.
- Visa break is required every 30 days and the company provide € 350 to cover this in monthly expenses claim.
- Nationality – UK or Irish however other EU passport holders would be considered depending on language skills and ease of obtaining a visa.
