Project Manager - Education

Job description / Role

Our client is a multinational company leader in the Education sector. They have projects coming up in Dubai and KSA and are looking for experienced Project Managers to start in December 2015 and early next year.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing custom curriculum and technology based Programs and Projects from initiation and development to execution and implementation for high profile clients within the Middle East Hub.

Specific job duties may include creating a project plan and schedule, accurately estimating time and resources required to complete the project, organizing and communicating information to key stakeholders, and assigning resources to each phase

Duties
- Direct and manage the business solutions to the end customers from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
- Ability to travel 40 – 50% of the time to client or company locations

Requirements

- 8 - 10 + years Project Management experience in Education is essential
- MBA or Post Graduate Degree preferred
- Must be fluent in Arabic and English.
- Large client engagement experience
- Principles and practices of Information Technology an asset
- Experience with working and dealing with senior levels of Management.
- Experience in Education either k-12 or Higher Ed.
- Ability to travel extensively > 50%
- Proven ability to manage budgets in excess of £1M with strong financial acumen and the ability to track and maintain P&L, with a drive to delivery profitability to the business.
- Computer software, including MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, and Visio
