Due to continued success in the country we are now seeking an experienced Project Manager for Maritime Shipyard Development Project in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Maritime Yard is located in Ras Al-Khair Industrial City and will cover a proposed area of 4,100m by 1,200m. Maritime Yard is envisioned to be a world class maritime location providing a combination of New Ship Buildings, and MRO facilities(Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) including Very Large Crude Carrier Capabilities (VLCC). The principal assets for Maritime Yard will be the Dry Docks, Wharfs, Piers and Cranes.

The Project Manager will lead a multiple of complex, high value marine and interior outfit projects from project set up, through to on-site delivery and then project close down. The Project Manager will also collaborate and influence across different functions in a matrix organization to ensure all allocated projects are delivered to client specification, the highest quality, within budget and on time.

The Project Manager will hold the following duties and responsibilities:
- In collaboration with senior management agree and where required influence the final scope of the project with our client providing a full specification and obtaining relevant sign off.
- Manage client and industry relationships to contribute to the growth of the business.
- Produce an accurate Project Plan based on the agreed scope of work and in accordance with quality, time and budgetary requirements, and a daily on-site delivery plan.
- Effectively plan all required resources and labor, work with the relevant stakeholders on the procurement of all relevant resources and labor.
- Schedule and lead all project meetings from start up to close down, including regular and ad-hoc project and site meetings.
- Ensure the cascade of relevant information to wider stakeholders.
- Manage the project installation, controlling and monitoring project performance according to the project specification, budget and timeline reporting internally as required.
- Produce and provide regular project and financial reports to nominated stakeholders identifying any variances and how these are to be managed or mitigated.
- Take responsibility for Trimline and sub-contracted personnel while on-site. Providing objectives and clear direction on works required.
- Reviewing progress against the Trimline programme and standard of work, offering feedback or further direction as required.
- Manage any assigned staff in accordance with Trimline policies and applicable regulations.
- Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems with Human Resources.
- Effectively manage client interaction as part of the overall project management process including while on site.
- Lead on all Health and Safety matters for all allocated employees, ensuring personnel are issued with and wear the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment.
- Contribute to the effective management of Health and Safety by promoting and maintaining legislative requirements throughout the nominated site.
- Act as a subject matter expert within the Project Management Team. Managing, mentoring and training team members in line with Trimline guidelines and values.
- Complete any other ad-hoc tasks as directed by your line manager or designee.

Requirements

- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing multiple, complex projects of high value ideally in the marine and/or interior outfitting industries.
- Marine experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of shipbuilding and trades.
- Exceptional planning, time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to lead co-workers whilst maintaining effective working relationships with managers.
- Excellent understanding of project financials with an ability to make decisions based on this and other information available.
- Results and detail-orientated approach to work delivery and output.
- Demonstrable experience in using IT systems including Microsoft and Navision.
- Expert understanding of Health and Safety legislation including a recognized qualification
