Project Manager (Site Installation)

Job description / Role

Norconsulting is urgently looking for a Project Manager (Site Installation) to join a world leader in High Voltage Power Products manufacturing such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers,cables and associated equipment, based in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:
- Creating Price Tag (PT) for the Project Manager (PM) for customer order handling, including process documentation, and creation of the documents for progress reports.
- Checking the PT as well as adaptation to the actual scope of supply upon receipt of the order, and assembly planning by creating a detailed sequence program with all project-relevant activities.
- Planning through determining the personnel requirement and initiating the reservations in own department as well as with sub-suppliers.
- Creating schedule in consultation with the customer and PM.
- Determining the required assembly tools in cooperation with the responsible assembly personnel, and timely procurement and shipping to the construction site, and determination of the required assembly consumables and timely procurement and shipping to the construction site, and projects determination and procurement of the required construction site infrastructure in consultation with the project management.
- Managing responsibilities such as information paths and working relationships between the project participants and the construction site (including customer, consultant, representative) in the form of organizational and flow charts or, if necessary, construction site regulations.
- Drawing up an assembly contract with external partners, if necessary.
- Determining delivery sequences of the material through cooperation with the sales and handling offices of the units, and creation of the documents for progress reports.
- Providing assistance in creating specialist documents such as test reports, check lists, assembly and commissioning instructions in the business unit/sub-unit.
- Ensuring and evaluating the empirical values from assembly, and maintenance of good contact with the partners in the business unit to exchange information.
- Advising customers regarding possible prophylactic measures for avoiding disturbances in installations.
- Updating and providing continuous information to the superior on the requirements profile of the assembly personnel and the personnel requirements.
- Keeping complete and clear documentation of the current projects.
- Advising partners in assembly related matters.
- Ensuring the quality of work and monitors the observance of the Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Master of Science/MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years working experience in electrical power product/system projects.
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing) is required.
