Job description / Role
A cutting edge technology company with global reach are looking to add a talented and experienced QA Engineer to the team for a key project in the Middle East.
The successful QA Engineer will be primarily responsible for developing specific test cases for new features and capabilities added to existing systems, as well as the overall system functionality.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Execution of manual and automated test cases
- Understanding test needs and plans in order to execute tests
- Specification and assigning test cases to be executed in order to meet test plans and overall test goals
- Reporting on test progress, coverage, defect metrics and overall assessment
Requirements
In order to be considered, candidates will need to be degree holders in a technical discipline such as computer science or similar, as well as:
- Relevant experience of working within a formal product testing role
- Experience in creating test plans, test case and traceability metrics
- Experience in creating and managing defects via a defect tracking system
- Experience working with RDBMS such as Oracle or DB2, as well as Windows Server and GUI testing
- Experience testing, debugging & troubleshooting client/server and web based applications
- Experience working with debugging tools & system level debugging techniques
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a fast paced environment
Any knowledge working on biometric applications, as well as the ability to start immediately would be beneficial!
