QA/QC Manager

Job description / Role

Cavendish Professionals is currently working with the principal European contractor, who is the lead in one of the main consortium's responsible for the construction of three of the six Metro lines, part of the Metro Project.

Cavendish Professionals is looking for a QA/QC Manager to provide Management Systems support to the Project to ensure Project Quality Assurance Plan and client requirements are met, and that Saudi and International standards are complied with.

Job purpose:
* Conduct audits of the system to confirm compliance.
* Act as the conscience of the Business highlighting those areas that require Management Action.
* Provide support to the project in the provision of the Management System and advice in the assessment and management of subcontractors' management systems.
* Proactive approach to improve quality of work at site, minimize rework and demonstrate continual improvement.
* Raise the profile of Quality with in the construction team by promoting Best Practice.
* Conduct audits in accordance with the audit schedule.
* Monitor close-out of corrective actions.
* Ensure Non-conformance records are regularly collected and reviewed.
* Support the preparation of the Project Business Plan.
* Participate in the identification of processes.
* Prepare an audit schedule.
* Support the assessment of suppliers and subcontractors.
* Review subcontractor quality plans, support subcontractors.
* Audit subcontractors as required by the Project Management Team.
* Liaise with Quality representatives of the Client.
* Ensure system includes provision for the preparation and subsequent handover of required documentation.
* Support Project Managers in highlighting project deficiencies and proposing solutions.

Requirements

* Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Auditors Training
* 8 - 10 years of experience out of which the last 4 years should be in the Quality department of a medium/large construction industry/Contractor
