We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the cost and commercial management team, supporting the team in relation to all building projects, across KSA.

Reporting lines:
This role reports to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Job description
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the client
• Undertaking costs analysis for work completed
• Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk and value management and cost control
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Allocating work to subcontractors
• Providing advice on contractual claims
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds an Academic or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or any engineering discipline.

The candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience post qualification; professional membership to the RICS will hold an added advantage. Experience within a mixture of residential and infrastructure projects will be ideal whereas the candidate must also have experience on both pre- and post-contract works.

• Excellent verbal and written skills;
• Strong business acumen;
• Strong understanding of the business to include their business drivers for success, process and approaches to business models;
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and experience:
• Ability to lead remote and local subordinates, communicate directions and ensure the demands and responsibilities of a distributed workforce are being met;
• Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism;
• Builds and maintains strong professional, trusted relationships with management, peers and staff;
• Provides guidance, persuades and influences decision makers;
• Enthusiastic and committed attitude toward work and task completion;
