Role Overview:

We are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join our client focused team in Abha. You will be responsible for delivering projects and be accountable, as part of the commercial team for the effective delivery of commercial and procurement services. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual, focused on accelerating their career, to join and strengthen our Quantity Surveying team as well as play a strategic role in delivering for top tier Clients within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

This specific role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to take responsibility for providing Pre and Post-Contract Quantity Surveying support for our professional services and project-based team in Abha.

Responsibilities include:
• The individual will be located at the client site based office and deliver, as part of a team that is responsible for a programme of works at varying stages of the individual project lifecycles, specifically inception & Brief Development, Pre-contract Cost Planning, Procurement, Implementation and Contractual Administration and Cost Control, Completion & Handover, Operational Contract Administration and Defect Management, all on behalf of the Client Organisation
• Commercial guidance and advice to the Project Management team as part of the PMC role
• Production of Client presentations to a high-quality and accuracy
• Assist in the development the overall cost control and management procedures and protocols(payments, change control etc)
• Contribute and support in drafting the BIM protocols to ensure quantities and other outputs/inputs can facilitate the tendering and cost planning processes
• Provision of a full suite of benchmarking reports respective of the assets and infrastructure scope being delivered

Requirements

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

• Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering degree or a similar construction related degree with extensive technical delivery experience in a similar management role gained within a consultancy or end user client
• Chartered status with the RICS would be advantageous.
• Member of the Saudi Council of Engineering
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience delivering Cost Management Services, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proficiency in the preparation, submission and defense of contractual claims.
• Our projects capture all sectors with the current focus on Education, Retail, Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Healthcare, Leisure and Entertainment within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision, therefore experience in these sectors is desirable
• Experience of monitoring budgets, cash-flow, progress on site
• Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal
• Excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills
• A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
• A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable and flexible
