Job description / Role
The Real-Estate Analyst is responsible for performing various financial and investment analysis. The Real-Estate Analyst reports directly to the Head of Local Real Estate.
Responsibilities
- Create financial projections for existing assets using historical data and other inputs
- Create financial projections for prospective development opportunities
- Build financial models and perform spreadsheet analysis for all existing and prospective investments
- Perform various asset valuation and investment return analysis
- Provide input for property leasing, capital projects and budgets
- Monitor asset performance against annual budget/projections
- Conduct all relevant analysis to ensure maximization of return in investments
- Prepare and maintain financial metrics for all assets such as OCF, cap rate and DCF
- Document and create summaries for all investments
- Write up proposals for potential clients
- Provide timely information and analysis to executive management
- Conduct periodic market research and coordinate with the Property Manager to maintain a database of existing trends and market rent assumptions in areas where the company has active investments
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in finance, business or equivalent
- at least 3-5 years of progressive experience
- Prior real estate experience is a must
- Strong financial modeling/analysis experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Effective written and oral communication in Arabic and English
