Job description / Role
- Identify and evaluate potential development projects. Perform and oversee expense and revenue analysis that incorporate multiple concurrent projects and variety of costs and other variables.
- Build strong relationships with government agencies, developers, builders, elected / appointed officials and community members.
- Source multiple development opportunities through networking with brokers, landowners, municipal agencies and other stakeholders.
- Ensure staff and acquisition committee understand what is in the pipeline, what action or input is needed, and what decisions are required, by whom.
- Negotiate property purchase terms and purchase contracts and once diligence is complete, facilitate management team review and recommendation on acquisition.
- Oversee management of design process (e.g. hiring consultant, working with design staff, ensuring issuance of building permits); maintain procedures for design criteria and green building program implementation.
- Train and oversee multiple Project Managers in in the project development process including: timeline, entitlements, economic feasibility and project financing.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Development to plan for the organizations long-range capital needs and reserve and capital budget requirements.
Requirements
- 5 - 9 years of progressive Hospitality real-estate experience with a demonstrated track record of success in real-estate acquisitions.
- Bachelor degree in Finance.
- Multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong financial technicality.
