Our Client hospital in Jeddah is a 500 bed JCI accredited acute care hospital providing state of the art medical care for the population in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. Medical Services at the hospital include: Anaesthesia & ICU (ICU, PICU, Cardiac ICU, NICU, Cardiopulmonary Services, Oral & Dental Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Medical Imaging , Medicine, Renal Dialysis Unit, Obstetrics & Gynaecology , Paediatrics , Surgery, Oncology, Home Health Care Program, Outpatients Dept. and Al Iskan Clinics situated off site.
In addition, it promotes and advances an understanding of diseases prevention amongst the population.

Recent projects include:The Cardiology Centre, Nursing College at King Saud University for Health Sciences, Out patient clinic centre, Grand expansion to all Emergency Room facilities, Grand expansion to the Oncology Centre, Founding the Bone Marrow Transplantation Centre and Burns Unit.

Description:
- Unit Description: Ante/Post Partum/Normal Newborn Nursery (W1)
- No. Of Beds:
- 24 Ante Natal / Gynecology / Gynecological Oncology
- 20 Post Natal
- 16 Cots
- Hours of Operation: 24 hours per day, 7 days per week

Scope of Service:
All aspects of high risk ante natal care, post natal care and well baby care. Gynecological care is provided to women from adolescent to geriatric. Patients are managed collaboratively from admission to discharge by a multidisciplinary team within a cohesive framework of policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and by-laws. Standard precautions are followed in the care of all patients. Isolation procedures may also be initiated based on the clinical status of the patient, the presence of specific diseases and in response to expert advice from the Infection Prevention and Control Department. During times of bed shortage, the unit may be required to accept overflow patients from another service, eg Medical, surgical, Ophthalmology Patients, including Palliative and End Of Life Care This is coordinated with Medical, Nursing and Admissions on a case by case basis.

Requirements

Requirements

Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution- Essential; or Diploma in Nursing (Western standard for those who graduated before the availability of Bachelor Degree)
- Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
- Specific Certification as required in area of assignment

Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 (three) years' current clinical nursing experience following licensure/ registration in the country of origin with basic leadership experience - Essential
- Meet additional requirements for specialty areas as defined in the addendum when hired/ transferred to those special units
