Retail Accountant - Saudi Arabia

Responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing the budgeting, financial planning, control, accounting and reporting, policies and practices.

- Responsible for the Accounting of all branches in Saudi Arabia.
- To execute Accounting for all areas such as booking invoices, expenses, salaries, banks, sales, inventories and fixed assets, banks / payable accounts / receivables accounts reconciliations
- Responsible to deliver monthly closed trial balances
- Ensuring data accuracy and fullfiling the deadlines established.
- Updating executive managers on risks identified and recommend action to be taken
- Able to prepare financial management reports
- Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
- Develop and maintain financial databases
- Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
- Control and ensure funds are available to run the operations including proper cash flow management and forecast to be able to identify of time the financial by amount and by type.
- Oversee the production of key financial statements and coordinate completion of internal and annual statutory audits as per agreed schedules, in order to ensure company compliance with statutory reporting requirements and obligations
- Ensure compliance of the company with the tax regulations and laws affecting the business and consult with tax Advisors, preferably the assigned auditor, in order to be up to date with newly published laws
- Review hedging activities as communicated by the Management Team.
- Update and maintain currency needs by monitoring the Purchase Orders placed by the Brand Managers and cover outstanding currency exposure if any
- Ensure that payments and other accounting/finance procedures are performed in compliance with Agreements
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and Banks, and ensure compliance with the Agreements signed with them
- Prepare annual budget, projects feasibilities and business plan of the company
- Define, develop and implement Finance/Accounting plans, policies and procedures in line with corporate Finance strategy and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects / programs
- Negotiate terms to reduce costs and permanently look for ways to enhance the operational and financial performance

Requirements

- Accounting degree
- ACCA (Association of Chartered Accountants)/ CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certified
- Minimum experience of 4 years of Retail Accounting Experience
- Experience working on accounting software
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to plan and define priorities

- Must speak Arabic
