Retail Channel Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is one of the largest distributors of building materials in Saudi Arabia representing leading local as well as foreign brands.The successful candidate will ideally be a pro-active self-starter with a strong retail background preferably in building materials with proven skills in business development, customer driven marketing orientation, retail outlet management, and leadership and managerial abilities to effectively grow and achieve demanding targets.

The main tasks:
- Develop strategy to identify and develop new retail outlets, improve existing stores, product lines, raise customer pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
- Meet sales goals by recruiting, training, motivating, and mentoring sales staff
- Identify current and future customer requirements by closely following trends and interaction with existing and potential customers
- Develop annual budget for individual outlets and for the business; closely monitor expenses, analyze variances and undertake corrective measures as required
- Full profit and loss responsibility.

Requirements

- BS degree in business administration
- Minimum of 5 years’ demonstrable experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail and sales with a minimum of 5 years’ management level
- Strong customer service, team management and motivational skills.
- Proven experience managing budgets and achieving targets.
- Solid experience managing large client relationship management databases.
- Must have excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
- Extensive experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet.
- Candidate should be Available in KSA with Transferable Iqama.
