Rotating Equipment Engineer - Polymer Plant Equipment

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team at a leading petrochemical company in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in polymer plant equipment and a proven track record in managing and maintaining rotating equipment in a petrochemical environment.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines in the polymer plant.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of rotating equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations of rotating equipment to identify and address any issues or potential failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve rotating equipment-related problems and optimize plant performance.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements in rotating equipment to continuously improve the plant's equipment and processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all activities related to rotating equipment.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience working with rotating equipment in a polymer plant or petrochemical environment.
- In-depth knowledge of various types of pumps, compressors, and turbines, their operation, and maintenance best practices.
- Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve rotating equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Certifications such as API 610, API 617, API 618, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.
